Barnum Produces for the Future

My husband always wanted a son to look after his fishing business. But, I could only give him four daughters. My in-laws kept on coaxing me for the same. They wanted an heir for their business. My husband, who was born and brought up in New York, had this notion that daughters cannot take care of family property. They all wanted a second marriage. They have thrown me out of home along with my daughters. We became homeless. My trust was broken. I had no time to think as how to get over a break up. My first duty was to give my daughters a safe shelter. I sold my gold chain, which my poor father had gifted me when my first daughter was born. He was so happy for me. I was not willing to go to my parent’s place. They would have been hurt, if they would have seen my condition. I reached my friend’s place in New Jersey. She was really helpful. She told me that she is running an NGO, where I can join as volunteer for the time being. I did so that I can earn my living. I’ve also sent my daughters to the school. I had to become both a father and a mother to them.  Slowly my past life was gone for ever from my mind.
