Six months ago I was paying my bills and realized that I had finally gotten to the point where I could no longer make even the minimum monthly payments on my credit cards.  The first thought that came to mind was bankruptcy.  Many friends had filed and now seemed to be happier, without high monthly bills.  But, when I investigated my options, I decided I didn’t want to ruin my excellent credit.  Instead I decided to get a Debt Consolidation loan.  I now have one monthly, affordable payment and and look forward to paying my loan off early, since I just got a big raise.  I no longer use credit cards.
