How do programs get in past my antivirus program? Is it working? Yes it is, but the thing to realize here is that people are being tricked into bypassing their own antivirus program every day and this makes the security leak your trusting other programs and downloads that you probably shouldn’t. If your antivirus program works well it will block these programs but often they are attaching them in a way that you give permission for a legitimate program to install even if the antivirus program catches it because the malicious program is “joined” to the file and named “exactly” the same thing so you have no idea what just happened in the background!
