During the years I was raising my family I discovered that kids’ stuff is often fun.
I enjoyed everything from playing “teatime” with my daughter to building entire towns with mud and toy trucks with he boys. I even loved helping the kids with their school projects.
Many a Saturday night was spent eating pizza and laughing while helping put together one of many middle school science fair projects.
And parenthood gave me the perfect excuse to jump up and down and scream like an idiot on fall weekends when my sons played sports.
Just about the time I began missing the “kid stuff”, I found out I would soon have a granddaughter.
Ballet recitals! Yay!
