Johnny was in the eighth grade.  In his health class he recently learned about how to recognize some of the main signs of alcoholism.  Johnny’s older brother Nathan was nineteen years old.  Nathan barely graduated from high school and in less than two years since his graduation, he already got fired from three jobs for coming to work “under the influence” of alcohol.  Johnny started to see more and more evidence that his brother had a serious drinking problem.  One evening while their parents were in the living room watching TV, Johnny turned to his brother and asked him if he ever thinks about the signs of alcoholism.  Nathan laughed at what his brother asked and never did give him an answer.  But down deep, Johnny’s question started Nathan thinking about his drinking behavior and if he did in fact have a drinking problem.
