Typing From Home

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

When my daughter decided she wanted to stay at home with her young boys, she turned to the Internet to find a job.

And pretty quickly she was able to get a job typing at home. It was part-time and involved typing manuscripts.

Not long after she was accepted for the job she was given instructions on how to download Keystroke Monitor Software, which the company uses to determine her pay.

It did take her a while to get used to working at home with two little ones, but, after working out a schedule with her husband, she now spends a few hours each day typing, and the extra money has come in handy.

Spell check please! - Handheld PDA Rugged

Thursday, September 4th, 2008

I sometimes wonder if companies use anyone to proofread their copy before an ad goes out for printing, or perhaps the newspaper or copier made whatever mistakes on their end. I’m wondering because I saw an ad for a PDA that said “Handheld PDA Rugged,” now I have seen ads for Rugged handheld PDA’s but that was just odd. It made me want to call the company and offer my services as a proofreader. After all someone needs one along the line apparently. This makes me think, however. I hope that I did not misspell anything in this blog or I will be quite embarrassed.

Satellite channels and parental control

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

It may be mentioned here that the basic difference in prices between Dish Network and DirecTV is negligible. But, the best thing is that both channels will give you ample parental control over what your children watch. It also allows you to organize your pay per view operating cost. This is gathered on the basis of satellite tv reviews This is very essential because wrong viewing may violate children’s innocent mind. Sometimes children may try to watch indecent programmes inspired by wrong friends. It is such grounds that parents need to be little careful. However, the satellite service provides them with precautionary measure. This is an asset for the present time for coping with present generation children.

Didn’t Mean To Cause Trouble

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

I did not intend to cause any problems in my neighborhood but I recently caused quite a stink with our local cable company. Seems liked there are people in other parts of the city that have some great access to high speed internet service providers but because we are in an unincorporated part of the city we only have access to a government sponsored program. While I am for the low cost it was providing, I wanted a faster service so I started complaining. Little did I know that most of my neighbors did not even realize they had a choice and now they are in on the fight with me as well.

Bill and Ted

Tuesday, September 2nd, 2008

It is hard to imagine that the stoner comedy genre started such a long time ago.  I have only watched parts of Bill and Ted’s Adventure but I have been told it is definitely a stoner comedy.  The movie becomes that much funnier when you are under the influence of certain substances, but really doesn’t that make everything funnier, so it is not surprising they even made a game about this.  Seems like developers were looking for any liscencing product in order to push out a game.  This game might have actually been a little descent but who really knows unless you have played it.

Lightening Quick: High Performance Servers

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

Once you experience the high performance that high performance servers deliver, you will likely never want to go back to the inferior servers of your past. The lightening quick response that the computers on the network enjoy is unparalleled and the employees that use them on a daily basis couldn’t be any happier as they are able to get more work done with work stoppages due to the server crashing or going down are fewer to none since the switch. There is only an upside to making the switch to high performance servers as work output increases, frustration with the computers and servers decreases, and there are next to no work stoppages.

Get the Best Anti-Spyware Software

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

The best way to find spyware, malware and adware and remove it from your system is with a software that scans your system. The best spyware removal programs are out there. You have to remember they are all not the same.

Some of the spyware removal programs remove only spyware. Adware and malware remains on your computer doing damage every time you are on line. Some of them only remove one of the others, and all spyware remains on the computer.

No matter what you’re infected with, you want the most functional anti-spyware and anti-virus software you can find. There are sites that rate the software, and you should study your options well.

mailers

Friday, August 29th, 2008

I was freaking out. I had to the end of the week to get all these mailers out for the big event, and the label maker is out. Luckily I was able to find a replacement. The Brother TZ231 was sent to me on-line, no shipping and expressed over night. By the next day we were up in running. By the end of the week the mailers went out, and my job was saved. Whew, crisis averted. Now onto the next mailer. I am sure things will go much more smoothly this time. Yeah, right, like that ever happens in the business world.

Get your groove on

Thursday, August 28th, 2008

The war in the middle east has many of our brothers, fathers, even mothers and sons, daughters and uncles and aunts out there fighting for our countries freedom. More than ever their are computers being used in the field and many people are making use of video conferencing systems to call home so they can see and hear their family members and loved ones. I wonder how the Viet Nam war would have improved moral if this technology existed and was used back then. More and more people are starting to figure out that all computers are capable of making video conferencing calls.

A Little History

Monday, August 25th, 2008

Backup software has actually had a very long history, which is somewhat surprising and unusual given the relatively short period of time computers have been around. It all began in 1982 when a small company called Maynard Electronics created a software program known as MaynStream. Thought the next 17 years and with a few cooperate acquisitions later, as well as many program updates the backup software became property of Veritas, hence the name of their flagship software, Veritas Backup Exec Software. Since this storied history there have been many reincarnations of the software program for 1998 all the way through 2008

Spread The Word

Monday, August 25th, 2008

I work for a very large company, which has a large amount of customers. We have been looking for ways to communicate better with our customers, so that we can improve our business. If we had a better relationship with our customers, I know that we would be making more money. The customers would probably also refer others to us, and therefore increasing our capabilities throughout the world. We recently implemented the idea of CRM software into our company. It has made things so much easier when dealing with customers. We have gotten great reviews, and have been able to save money in the long run.
