Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

I thought I could get away with driving without auto insurance. I drive for almost a month without it and got pulled over. The ticket was so expensive that it set me back plenty. I not longer tried to dodge the insurance laws after that you can bet on it. I started to look for cheap auto insurance after that and their were a lot of great companies offering it. When I looked back at the expense I would have had per month paying for the insurance over the time I didn’t have it, and the ticket it actually would have been cheaper to pay for the insurance!

In need of a car carrier in central Florida?

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

For whatever reason, which I will never understand, there are certain people who choose to move from the beautiful sunshine state of Florida to the cold snowy mountains of Denver, CO. I guess if you are a ski or snowboarding fanatic, Denver would be the perfect place but my personal opinion is to get rid of snow altogether so I suppose it comes down to personal preference. Anyways, if you are one of those people who would choose to leave the gorgeous 80-degree weather for ice-cold snow, and you need info on car carriers in central Florida, National Transport can give you all of the information you need. They provide car shipping to almost anywhere in the nation and the best part about their company is that you never have to stress about where to find your car. They will go right ahead and pick up your car at your front doorstep and deliver it to your new home without any questions asked. National Transport also has an online tracking system that gives its customers assurance in knowing that their vehicle will be in good hands. So the only thing that will be on your mind during the move is the brand of snow tires you’ll need to buy when you get to Denver.

A New Truck

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

I am really interested in getting a new truck, and I heard that there was a new heavy duty version of the 2008 Chevy Silverado. Does anyone know where I can find out more about this? How is the heavy duty version different from the regular version? I am trying to decide whether I should get the heavy duty version or the regular version of this truck. I have had the Chevy Silverado truck in the past and liked it, so I am hoping I will like this newer version as well. I don’t see any reason why I wouldn’t.

gas prices

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008

The truth about the matter is that gas prices will only continue to rise so saving gas is becoming a necessity these days. Anyone who doesn’t look for ways to save gas will only be doing themselves a great disfavor, and their finances will suffer as a result.

Many people do not realize that the speed they drive at determines how long gas will last in their tanks. When you drive over 60km per hour, you consume more gas than you should. The best driving speed to conserve gas at is 57mph.

Hybrid Car

Monday, August 11th, 2008

Safe the planet buy a hybrid car. Well that’s seem to be what everyone is saying at the moment but honestly does it really help? I mean hybrids are more harmful to the planet to make and to dispose of and assuming you don’t scrap your old car someone will be driving it around anyway, wont they? I think if the government is really serious about promoting this technology they need to offer to buy at market prices people’s cars and then scrap them. If they did this then we would have the most polluting cars off the road in next to know time.

Diesel Performance Truck Accessories

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

Due to the rising diesel prices and the demand for more fuel-saving diesel performance truck accessories, Michelin is boosting its production of its fuel-efficient diesel truck tire, the X One. The X One works so well because it replaces the need for dual tires on larger trucks. This will result in a more fuel efficient diesel truck. About 35% of the energy consumed by a diesel truck goes into making the tires roll, so by reducing the rolling resistance it will save on fuel consumption.

Government Initiatives to Clean up the Air

Saturday, August 9th, 2008

The Government is currently helping the auto industry through substantial support in the Advanced Battery Consortium and other programs. Any increase in these should not be at the expense of the proposed President’s plan. Current efforts are producing results. Technology forcing standards are working and are needed to clean up the air and protect public health. In fact all cars sold in California must meet a hydrocarbon standard that is half the Federal Tier 2 Standard. Getting back to protecting public health, I state in my written testimony the air quality in southern California is causing health problems to the extent that the economic cost of that damage is roughly about $9 billion per year. Nine billion dollars per year as a result of the adverse health impacts caused by pollution and most of that pollution comes from the automobile, about 60 percent or so. The clean car initiative should be aimed at zero pollution. If you enjoyed reading this post, check out my other writings on the automobile industry, such as my article about plate lookup sites. Can I Increase Gas Mile Expectations?

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

It’s true. You can increase gas mile expectations. You will be limited by the car you own and the size of its engine, of course, but there are many things you can do to Increase Gas Mile expectations. If your car is quoted as being able to give 20 miles per gallon, do you actually get that? Most of don’t. We let the air filter clog up, and the oil and fuel filters too. Then the car has to work a lot harder just to keep going. That means it has to use more gas. On top of that we drive our cars hard, demanding even more gas. It’s all unecessary. Really, it is!
