Where can I buy an Egyptian Doumbek?

Wednesday, September 3rd, 2008

I have been looking around and so far I haven’t been able to find anywhere that sells Egyptian doumbeks. Does anyone know where I might be able to buy one of these drums? I am planning to get one and learn how to play it and then join the drum circle that is at my college. It looks like a lot of fun, and some of my friends have joined as well. I have always liked the idea of playing the drums, but not the type they play in school bands across the country. I want to play the different drums from around the world.

If you are considering purchasing guitar software in order to help you learn how to play the guitar, then be aware that not all learning products are equal. In other words, some products will definitely be better than others. One way you can find out about guitar software products is to read some reviews. You can find plenty of guitar software reviews on the world wide web. Simply search the relevant key words and begin reading. If you invest a little time and read the different reviews for guitar software, you will more than likely be able to make an informed decision about which product would be best to buy.

There was a woman whose husband had passed away of a terminal illness and she was left with four children. She worked very hard to support the family that was left. She decided she still needed to pursue her dream of graphic design, especially at this time. She took graphic design correspondence courses in her free time while she worked two jobs to keep food on the table. She finally received her graphic design certificate and was later employed by a large graphic design corporation. She now only works her one job and makes more money then she did with the two and she always states that if it was not for correspondence courses, she would not know where her and her family would be.

Friday, August 15th, 2008

There are are tons places to work-out in London, literally millions (well maybe) in fact, but for me it has to be the one I came upon only last week. Its It’s a brilliant complex, complete with purpose-built dance studios, free-weights, fitness classes, and plenty more. I joined on a weekly basis, and have to say, it’s been worth it already. They have so much to offer, sometimes you forget you are there to graft, and get fit.Its amazing to me how something so great can cost not much at all.I found them without too much fuss, I just typed "gym North London" into Yahoo, and Voila!Excellent

Great Gifts for your Groomsmen

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

The best way to have your groomsmen smiling is to actually put some thought into the gift, and personalize it. I don’t mean necessarily writing his name on things, but think of purchases that relate with the groomsman’s personal life. Even a clever work item may make a great groomsmen gift if personalized, but again, you can’t just buy a stapler and think you’ve gotten a good gift. I’ll just put it this way, if you know he’s been having issues with faxes, you could get him a nice fax machine, it only takes some insight (but who knows your friends better than you?). Just remember, keep it high quality, and make sure it’s something the groom will regularly use.

How a Tattoo is Made

Monday, August 11th, 2008

When you are considering getting a tattoo, there are many things you think about. You have to decide where you want the tattoo design on your body. Once you have decided that, you take time and figure out exactly what it is you are going to choose for a design. A tattoo is pigment injected into the skin with needles, so you also need to do some research and find, not only a tattoo artist who does good work, but also one that is very sanitary. You certainly don’t want your tattoo to get infected and you need to find someone who will use clean tools. Once these decisions are made, all it takes is a little extra courage.

Tarot 101?

Sunday, August 10th, 2008

I bug my teenage daughter constantly about how much she watches T.V., how many games she plays, and how little she wants to do homework.

And usually I get the old rolled-eyes and a long-drawn-out, “Mother, puleeeeeze”.

So I was pleasantly surprised when I walked past her room the other night and found her with an open book in front of her, furiously scribbling into a notebook.

“Ah,” I thought, “success”. I could just see her with her college degree in Math or Science. Then I came down to earth.

The title of the book she was reading was, “Learning To Read The Tarot Cards“.

OK, maybe it’s not literature, but at least she’s reading. And who knows? Maybe she can find my lost glasses for me.

Finding a good photographer

Wednesday, August 6th, 2008

There are so many ways to find a good photographer that it would be impossible to list them all here. Needless to say, one of the best ways to find a photographer is through online means. You could search through umpteen directories to find the photographer you’re looking for or you could, for example,  simply key in portrait photographer Leeds and find some of the best optimised sites online. Pick out several that appeal to you and visit their sites. This will give you the opportunity to get a feel for their type of work as all good photographers will be only too happy to display examples of their work.

I really want a lower back tattoo.

Friday, August 1st, 2008

I really want a lower back tattoo. I am afraid it will hurt too badly though. My friends keep telling me to go fo it. They all have them, and they said they didn’t hurt as much as they thought they would. As a matter of fact, one friend had to have her tattoo completed in steps. It wasn’t because it hurt too badly to have it done in one sitting. It was because it tickled too much to have it done in one sitting. She is very ticklish, and even having a needle thrust into her back several times felt ticklish rather than painful.

On the Electronic Tabla

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

The instrument called the tabla is a pair of drums of contrasting size and sound, of Indian origin. They can be used in religious, classical, or popular music. The function of an electronic tabla is not meant to be any different from an acoustic tabla. The purpose in creating the electronic instrument is to mimic the acoustic version as closely as possible, while yet allowing the player the ability to adjust the pitch either to match his voice or for any other reason. Electronic tablas may also be programmed with set rhythmic structures for further ease of use in composing or playing a piece of music.

Islands of Adventure theme park

Monday, July 21st, 2008

In 2009, a new island will join the Islands of Adventure theme park, which is part of the Universal Orlando Resort. This will be called The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and it will feature rides and attractions themed from the life and adventures of the fictional boy wizard. Around the world, fans of the books and films are waiting with eagerness. However, vacationers can find plenty of great things at the Universal Orlando Resort right now that would be sure to thrill them. The other islands at the Islands of Adventure (Marvel Super Hero Island, Seuss Landing, the Lost Continent, Jurassic Park, and Toon Lagoon), for example offer plenty of great attractions, rides, and shows. If the hear becomes too much for you, you can head over to another of the Universal parks, Wet N Wild water park. You will discover water rides for everyone in the family, from the thrill seeker to the toddler. It’s one of the best ways around to cool down. Of course, no visit to Orlando would be complete without making a trip to Universal Studios. It has all the old favorites, like Jaws and E.T., as well as newcomers, like the Shrek 4D Adventure, and The Simpsons Ride.
