Gloves are not considered merely as garments but fashion accessories which cover the hand of a human. Gloves have separate openings for each finger which are called gauntlets. Those that don’t have separate openings for the fingers are called mittens. Mittens are more functional because they are used in extremely low temperature because they maintain the warmth of the fingers since they are in contact. Lingerie gloves on the other hand are considered to be a fashion accessory. They are usually made of lace, silk or leather, depending on the material of the rest of the outfit. Gloves can also be fingerless, meaning there are openings for the fingers but no covering sheath for more dexterity. This often used by bikers, cyclists and even considered a must for rockstars.
