Sometimes we don’t know when to reset the module. Why do I need to Re-set the Airbag Control Module?  Once you experienced a deployment, the airbag module needs to be reset or reprogrammed so that it can function again.  Some people are purchasing their module from a salvage yard vehicle.  These modules are the ones that has not deployed.  This is fine, however, some vehicles come coded to the VIN and swapping the new module will not work. This module is the one carrying the information about the vehicle, so they must be installed in the original vehicle.  You can save as much as 70% from resetting against buying a new one.
