Barnum Produces for the Future

Flamenco is a traditional style of music that originated in Spain. It  developed in the gypsy culture during the ninetheenth century.

The guitar was originally used as voice and/or dance accompaniment. Over the last century, the guitar moved from the background to the forground and the birth of the solo flamenco guitarist occured.

Beginning with great flamenco guitarists like Ramón Montoya and Nino Ricardo to modern day virtuosos like Sabicas and Paco de Lucia, the flamenco guitarist has become ever more popular.

The flamenco guitar is contructed differently than a traditional nylon string guitar (or classical guitar), in that it is built from cypress and spruce, often uses friction pegs, and has lower action.
