I used to take my kids outdoors with me and we would make up a sack lunch, grab all of our art supplies, and head on up into the mountains to paint and draw to our heart’s content. We used to come home feeling so relaxed and happy, and the process of painting art outside, would give us the opportunity to learn more about lighting, and how dramatically it could affect the outcome of an artist’s work. If you also love working with oils and pastels, go outside and give it a try, and you will be surprised how amazing your art starts to look!
